Is it Wrong to Use Hyphens in Writing?
Is it Wrong to Use Hyphens in Writing? How would you like to write a best-selling memoir? How about a well-written article? Perhaps you'd like to blog and have your writings promoted? With the power of the Internet, thousands of websites exist that will make you rich overnight. In fact, my guess is that your first blog post is making money for you right now. You probably have a blog with no traffic and a couple of backlinks or maybe your site is ranked a little low in Google. Still, it's a great way to get the word out and show that you have a solid and professional site. What are some of the ways that you can use hyphens in your writing? The better question might be, which one do you want to use more often?Hyphens don't do anything for me unless I'm using them as filler. They do not create space for my thoughts. They are a confusing entity. Because I don't want to write like a trained linguist, I use italics or bold instead. Many times I have read that there is a significant difference between the use of quotation marks and the use of hyphens. I find them interchangeable. There are places in my writings where I use them both.I have also said before that I don't believe it's wise to employ strong opinions. I would disagree with that. With any website, your unique content should speak for itself. One unique perspective in your website does not belong in competition with another website's unique views and knowledge.Your SEO is one important consideration when it comes to your content. Using keywords helps to determine if your website is viewed correctly or not.
